Reality Fracture
The finale of the three-year story that started in Wilds of Eldraine. Jace Beleren builds the Echoverse, a "perfect" mirror of the Multiverse with Nicol Bolas, the Eldrazi and the Phyrexians removed, and it starts overwriting the real one. Expect color-shifted versions of classic cards and the dystopian school of Hexhaven.

Mechanics
Wizards says a Jace will show up in almost every Limited game, and the set is built to make that true.
Empower Jace X New
Put X loyalty counters on a Jace planeswalker token you control. If you don't have one, first create a blue Jace token with 0 loyalty. The token can surveil or draw. It isn't legendary, so it never clashes with a real Jace.
Echoed Pairs New
A Multiverse card and its distorted Echoverse twin, often in another color. There's no bonus for having both. Play Boosters reportedly contain three Echoed Pair cards each, which makes drafts a guessing game.
Behold a Jace New
Choose a Jace you control or reveal a Jace card from your hand. Theorist's Sanctum, for example, enters untapped only if you behold one.
Heartwood tokens New token
A new predefined token type that ramps your mana.
Prepare Returning
Back from an earlier set, on 18 cards in Reality Fracture.
Mirrored planeswalkers Theme
Chandra, Jace, Liliana, Ajani and Garruk appear sparked and desparked, set against their Echoverse opposites.
Treatments and the chase card
Bloodline Recollector
This set's Headliner, in a throwback full-art frame by Power Nine artist Mark Poole. Only 500 serialized copies exist, all in Collector Boosters. Non-serialized versions play identically.
- Shattered Mirror: the set's signature frame for its cracked-reality cards.
- Borderless Echoed: borderless art for the Echoed Pairs.
- Braintwister: a third showcase treatment exclusive to this set.
- Japanese Showcase: Japanese-language alternate art, aimed at collectors.

Community feedback
What players and writers said after prerelease weekend and the first constructed reviews.
One prerelease report called it the most fun the writer had with Magic all year. Every color pair looked playable, and many games went to time.
Draftsim, prerelease lessonsCommon dual lands and landcycling help, but bending your mana for specific decks still felt hard. Reviewers count that as a plus for the format.
Draftsim, prerelease lessonsSome rares disappoint. Theorist's Proxy reads like a good common, and the Headliner, Bloodline Recollector, is weak as a Limited card.
Draftsim, Limited set reviewThe set gives a Superfriends deck real support, and the new blue Chandra could become a control staple.
Cardsrealm, Pioneer reviewReviewers praised the design but don't expect it to shake up Modern. Legacy gets a few playables, such as Theorist's Sanctum for control, but nothing broken.
Cardsrealm, Modern and Legacy reviewsIn launch week, Collector Boosters traded well above MSRP: about $49 per pack out of a box on September 23, against a $26.99 MSRP.
TurnZero, TCGplayer market dataOverall: Limited players love it, and some call it the best set of 2026. Constructed impact looks modest outside Pioneer. Collector demand is high.
